Description:

Ryoma Echizen, 12-yrs-old has won four consecutive titles at the American Jr. Tennis Tournament. Now, he has come to Japan since his father enrolls him at Seishun Gakuen or Seigaku, a middle school in Tokyo which is known for its Tennis Club. Seigaku has already produced many tennis PROs, including Ryoma's father. At first, Ryoma's only reason for playing tennis was to defeat his father but as soon as he enters Seigaku, competes with tough opponents, and gains new and loyal friends, he realized that he plays tennis for a much more greater cause. 

This manga-based series has become one of the most popular anime in Japan. Its final episode was aired in 2005 while its OVA has started its DVD release this 2006. Due to Prince of Tennis' popularity, it even made its way on having its own live musical played by young and popular jpop actors and also its own live-action movie which even gained a place in Box Office which was recently showed last May of 2006.
